Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating various types of heavy machinery, including , excavators, skid steers, loaders. This role requires a strong focus on safety, precision, and reliability to ensure smooth operations across job sites. Prior experience in commercial driving and automotive repair is a plus, contributing to the overall versatility of the candidate.

Duties

Operate heavy equipment such as excavator, bulldozers, and loaders in accordance with safety protocols and operational guidelines
Load and unload freight, materials, and equipment with precision to prevent damage or accidents
Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance of machinery to ensure optimal performance
Assist with minor automotive repairs on equipment as needed
Follow safety procedures diligently to maintain a secure work environment
Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks efficiently and meet project deadlines

Qualifications

Valid certification or licensing for commercial driving preferred
Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards in industrial settings
Basic automotive repair skills are advantageous
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift heavy loads when required
Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately

This position offers an opportunity for individuals with a background in heavy equipment operation or related fields to contribute their expertise in a dynamic environment. Candidates should demonstrate reliability, safety consciousness, and a proactive approach to their work responsibilities. I am a single owner of KOV Contracting looking for someone to join me and help grow to a bit bigger of a company only anticipation is an additional machine to compliment the CAT 305 I currently have. Potentially a dump truck in the future. Looking for someone who has flexible hours doesn't mind a long day when necessary. Ideally will provide you with a company truck and fuel for the right candidate.

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
