Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Mandarin Teaching Assistant to support language instruction in a dynamic educational environment. The ideal candidate will work closely with lead teachers to facilitate engaging lessons, assist students in their learning journey, and foster a positive classroom atmosphere. This role offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in early childhood education and language instruction while making a meaningful impact on students’ development. REQUIRED: write your cover letter or introduction in Mandarin.

Responsibilities

Assist lead teachers in delivering Mandarin language lessons to students of various ages and skill levels
Support classroom management and help maintain an organized, safe, and inclusive learning environment
Work directly with children, including those with disabilities, to provide individualized support as needed
Help prepare instructional materials and classroom activities aligned with curriculum goals
Foster effective communication with students, teachers, and parents to ensure clear understanding of lesson objectives and student progress
Support students with math and other related subjects when integrated into language learning activities
Encourage active participation and promote a positive attitude toward learning Mandarin and related subjects

Requirements

Prior classroom experience is preferred
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities
Experience working with children, including those with disabilities, is highly desirable
Passion for teaching, patience, and a nurturing attitude toward young learners
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in an educational setting
Fluency in Mandarin is required; proficiency in English is essential for effective communication with staff and parents

Pay: $17.85-$19.00 per hour
