What you bring:
- Class 3 Driver’s License with airbrake endorsement is preferred, or a valid Class 5 License with a clean driver’s abstract.
- Experience operating radial boom derrick (RBD)/digger derrick, mini-excavator, skid-steer, and other heavy equipment.
- Experience in shallow utility installation is preferred.
- A positive, team-oriented attitude and strong work ethic.
- Traffic Control Person (TCP) certification is preferred.
- Occupational First Aid (OFA) levels I, II and/or III is preferred.
- Fall protection certification is an asset.
- Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions.
This role involves a range of job duties, which include, but are not limited to:
- Operating various equipment like RBD/digger derrick, bucket truck, crane, excavator/backhoe, skid steer, forklift, plate compactor, jumping jack, dump trailer, pickup truck/flat deck, and arrow truck (training provided).
- Perform general labour tasks including hand shoveling, trenching, backfilling, installing street light and traffic signal foundations, laying cables and installing conduits, and completing landscaping and road surface cleanup.
- Coordinating pick up, delivery, and handling of stock materials to designated job sites.
- Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean, safe, and organized.
- Assist with traffic control duties when required.
- Travel as needed based on project needs.
- Work night shifts on occasion as required.
