Shop Foreman / Supervisor – Heavy Duty Fleet Maintenance
Full-time | Calgary, AB
Help Build a High-Performance Maintenance Shop From Day One
South West Bulk Express Inc. is opening a brand-new, state-of-the-art maintenance facility in Calgary as part of our continued growth heading into 2026. We are looking for a hands-on Shop Foreman / Supervisor who understands that productivity, organization, communication, and accountability are what keep a fleet moving.
This role is critical to building a maintenance operation that runs efficiently, reduces downtime, supports technicians, coordinates repairs, and keeps trucks and trailers moving through the shop with clear priorities and strong follow-up.
The Role
The Shop Foreman / Supervisor is responsible for monitoring the daily workflow of the maintenance shop, creating and managing work orders, following up with technicians, supporting repair planning, and ensuring jobs are completed efficiently and correctly.
This role will also support on-road breakdowns, service calls, and outside repair coordination when company equipment requires repairs away from our Calgary facility. You will help coordinate with drivers, dispatch, mobile service providers, dealerships, outside repair shops, and internal management to ensure equipment is repaired safely, cost-effectively, and as quickly as possible.
You will work closely with the Maintenance Manager, Service Advisors, Parts Department, technicians, drivers, and dispatch to make sure equipment is being repaired in a timely and organized manner.
This is not a desk-only role. It is a hands-on leadership position for someone who can walk the shop floor, understand what is happening, keep technicians focused, remove roadblocks, coordinate repairs, and make sure work is moving from start to finish.

- Communicate with drivers during breakdowns to gather accurate information and provide direction
- Coordinate repairs with outside shops, dealerships, mobile mechanics, tire vendors, and service providers
- Follow up on outside repairs to ensure work is completed properly, on time, and at a reasonable cost
- Help review outside repair estimates, repair status, and completion timelines
- Ensure repair updates are communicated clearly to dispatch and operations
- Identify delays caused by parts, labour, diagnosis, outside vendors, or poor communication
- Hold technicians accountable for quality, efficiency, cleanliness, and completion times
- Support safety procedures, shop rules, and company maintenance standards
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional shop environment
