Join a dynamic team at Upper Canada Village that is on the frontline of delivering an exceptional guest experience.

POSITION: CLEANER (student)

HOURS OF WORK: variable up to 36.25 hours per week

LOCATION:
Upper Canada Village
(11 km east of Morrisburg)

SALARY: $17.60 per hour

PERIOD OF EMPLOYMENT: May to September 2026

WHAT CAN I EXPECT TO DO IN THIS ROLE?

You will:

Be a representative of one of Morrisburg’s premium and internationally recognized tourism sites.

Provide cleaning services in historic buildings at Upper Canada Village.

Keep the Upper Canada Village site clean.

Provide laundry services for youth and school programs and UCV special programming.

Work safely at all times and report unsafe activities immediately to your supervisor.

Embody the SLPC’s equity, diversity and inclusion principles while interacting with staff and guests.

HOW DO I QUALIFY?

You have:

Knowledge of cleaning procedures and materials.

Good communication skills in order to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.

Good physical condition.

The ability to learn all safety protocols and procedures to ensure personal, guest and fellow staff safety is maintained at all times.

À QUOI PUIS-JE M’ATTENDRE À CE POSTE?

Vous devrez :

agir comme représentant ou représentante de l’un des principaux sites touristiques de Morrisburg, de réputation internationale;

fournir des services de nettoyage dans les bâtiments historiques du Village du Haut-Canada;

garder le site du Village du Haut-Canada propre;

fournir des services de buanderie pour les programmes destinés aux jeunes et aux écoles ainsi que pour les programmes spéciaux d’UCV;

travailler de façon sécuritaire en tout temps et signaler immédiatement les situations dangereuses aux superviseurs;

agir conformément aux principes d’équité, de diversité et d’inclusion de la CPSL lors des échanges avec le personnel et la clientèle.

QUELLES SONT LES COMPÉTENCES RECHERCHÉES?

Vous vous distinguez par :

une connaissance des méthodes et des produits de nettoyage;

une bonne aptitude à la communication afin de comprendre et d’appliquer des directives verbales et écrites;

une bonne condition physique;

la capacité d’apprendre tous les protocoles et procédures de sécurité afin d’assurer la sécurité du personnel, des visiteurs et de collègues en tout temps.
