Sourcing Manager, Richmond Hill, ON - Full time on-site

Your impact:
The Global Sourcing and Contract Management team helps maximize value from OpenText’s vendor relationships and ensures our business unit stakeholders have the goods and services they need to succeed.
You will act as a Sourcing Manager and deliver projects in all aspects of the sourcing process, from category assessment, cost savings opportunities, vendor due diligence, RFx process, contract negotiations, and supporting vendor management. Categories in scope will include but are not limited to Marketing + Events (Consulting, Finance, IT, and Outsourced services). You will act as a change agent as part of our broader Sourcing& Procurement transformation initiatives and collaborate closely with various business partners and internal (e.g., Marketing, Sales, Events, Finance, Legal) and external (e.g., suppliers, vendors, hotels, and other organizations) stakeholders to deliver a seamless procurement experience. Key accountabilities include developing sourcing strategies and programs aligning with strategic objectives; enhancing supplier relationships; ensuring commitments are fulfilled to meet internal client’s needs; presenting recommendations and collaborating with senior management and business unit leads.

- Build and strengthen stakeholder relationships to align sourcing strategies with business needs
- Develop and execute category plans to reduce costs and improve supplier performance
- Lead RFx processes and cross-functional sourcing initiatives
- Manage supplier selection using data-driven insights and analytics
- Lead commercial negotiations to achieve optimal outcomes
- Optimize supplier performance, ensuring contract compliance and cost efficiency
- Support financial planning, budgeting, and sourcing activity forecasting
- Drive continuous improvement and identify industry trends to enhance procurement strategy
What you need to succeed:

- Leverage AI and analytics to enhance sourcing, reduce costs, and manage risk
- High degree of business ethics and accountability
- Category Management and Sourcing experience, including deep understanding of Strategic Sourcing best practices.
- Strong understanding ofmarketing procurement categories, including:
- Strong knowledge of creative, advertising, and digital marketing services
- Experience with media planning, buying, and sponsorship initiatives
- Expertise in event management, production, and experiential marketing
- Familiarity with promotional merchandise, print, and branded materials
- Understanding of travel and hospitality procurement within marketing categories

- Communicate effectively and influence stakeholders across all levels
- Prioritize and deliver in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Lead complex negotiations with confidence and strong decision-making
- Drive cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement initiatives
- Academic/Experience:
- 5+ years in Strategic Sourcing& Category Management; program/project experience required
- 3+ years managing marketing, media, agency, or events procurement categories
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain; certification an asset
- Strong knowledge of business processes, controls, and continuous improvement
- Global mindset; international experience preferred

Compensation: At OpenText, we offer a thoughtfully designed benefits package that supports your physical, emotional, and financial wellbeing. As you move through the hiring process, we’re happy to provide more details about our compensation programs, including variable and commission compensation opportunities for eligible roles, vacation entitlement, and paid time off.
Salary Range: $86,800 - $130,200; Depending on the candidate’s education, experience, skills, geographical location, and alignment with internal equity and external market, actual salary may vary and be higher or lower than the range posted.
