Operations & Accounting Coordinator

We're looking for an organized, people-oriented professional to become the operational backbone of our team: someone who's comfortable with numbers, at ease with people, and energized by variety in their day.

About the Role

As our Operations & Accounting Coordinator, you'll support bookkeeping tasks alongside select clients while being the friendly first point of contact and connective glue that keeps our office running smoothly. You'll also take ownership of our workflow: sitting in on client meetings to capture minutes and making sure our processes are understood and followed across the team. No two days will look exactly the same; one afternoon you might be helping with reconciliations, the next you're greeting a client at the door or coordinating a tax package. If you like variety and take pride in being the person people can count on, this role is built for you.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll processing and invoicing
Assemble and prepare T1/T2 packages for client delivery
Bank reconciliations and day-to-day spreadsheet management
General office administration, including ordering supplies and vendor coordination
First point of contact for client calls and emails
Greet visitors and manage incoming mail/deliveries
Take meeting minutes for client meetings and help facilitate the firm's overall workflow
Learn our internal processes inside and out, and help ensure they're consistently followed across the team
Act as a first-line liaison for IT/server questions
Schedule and post content on SBG's social media accounts

What We're Looking For

Experience working in an accounting firm environment
Solid bookkeeping fundamentals — reconciliations, month-end, and general ledger comfort
Familiarity with QuickBooks and/or Sage; exposure to Financial Cents is a bonus
Experience with T1/T2 package preparation is an asset
A warm, clear communication style — you're comfortable being the face of the office
Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle client and internal priorities
Process-minded — comfortable learning a firm's workflow and holding the team accountable to it
Comfort with basic office IT and social media scheduling tools

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Compensation: Competitive, based on experience
