Bar Romy is seeking a Restaurant Expeditor

Position Summary

The Restaurant Expeditor serves as the communication link between the kitchen and front-of-house teams, ensuring that food orders are prepared accurately, presented according to standards, and delivered to guests in a timely manner. This role is essential in maintaining smooth kitchen operations, food quality, and overall guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage the flow of food orders between the kitchen and service staff.
Verify that all dishes are prepared according to restaurant standards, recipes, and presentation guidelines.
Ensure orders are complete, accurate, and served promptly.
Communicate effectively with chefs, cooks, servers, and management regarding order status and special requests.
Inspect plates for quality, portion size, appearance, and accuracy before they leave the kitchen.
Organize and prioritize orders during peak service periods to maintain efficiency.
Address and resolve order discrepancies or delays quickly and professionally.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expediting station.
Assist in monitoring ticket times and helping the kitchen meet service goals.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.

Qualifications

Previous restaurant, food service, or kitchen experience preferred.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds when necessary.
