About Senti Solutions
Senti Solutions Inc. is a full-service engineering, design, and manufacturing firm based in Guelph, Ontario, specializing in custom-engineered stainless steel process equipment. Since 2015, we have delivered precision solutions for some of the most demanding industries — food and beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical processing, biogas, and solvent extraction.
We design and fabricate CRN and ASME-certified pressure vessels, sanitary process equipment, heat exchangers, control systems, and full facility process piping — all engineered and built in Canada. As we continue to scale, we are adding a dedicated Project Manager to drive our growing project portfolio from kickoff to delivery.
The Opportunity
With our continued growth, senior leadership can no longer give project coordination the dedicated attention it deserves alongside their strategic responsibilities. We need a full-time Project Manager / Fabrication Shop Manager who owns the critical path — someone who lives in the schedule, anticipates bottlenecks before they become problems, and ensures the right people have the right information and resources at the right time.
This is a leadership role centred on planning, delegation, and execution. You will be the operational backbone of our project delivery, working closely with engineering, fabrication, and clients to keep complex, multi-discipline projects on track. While your primary focus is management and coordination of the fabrication process, a willingness to occasionally get hands-on in the shop to understand the work is something we value.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Critical Path Management
- Develop and own comprehensive project plans including scope, schedule, resource requirements, and risk assessments from project kickoff through to delivery
- Build and maintain detailed Gantt charts and critical path analyses; proactively identify schedule risks and drive mitigation strategies before they impact delivery
- Translate engineering and fabrication milestones into clear, actionable schedules that the full team can work from
- Manage multiple concurrent projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and resources across the shop
Delegation & Resource Coordination
- Assign work clearly and deliberately — ensuring the right tasks are in front of the right people with the context they need to execute
- Creating work orders and issuing to the shop in accordance with project timelines, priorities, and resource availability
- Coordinate between engineering, fabrication, procurement, and external contractors to eliminate wait time and keep work moving
- Identify resource constraints early and work with leadership to resolve capacity issues before they affect the schedule
- Follow up on delegated work without micromanaging — holding the team accountable to timelines while trusting their expertise
Schedule Visibility & Communication
- Ensure all stakeholders — internal and external — have clear, up-to-date visibility into project status, upcoming milestones, and any changes to timelines
- Own the Kanban board and project tracking tools; keep them current and ensure they accurately reflect real shop status at all times
- Communicate drawing revision requirements and technical change impacts to the engineering team in a timely, structured manner
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project status updates with clients and senior leadership
Risk Management & Problem Solving
- Proactively flag issues — material delays, scope changes, fabrication challenges — and develop recovery plans to protect delivery commitments
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure materials, tooling, and consumables arrive ahead of when they are needed on the schedule
- Document lessons learned across projects and drive continuous improvement in how we plan and deliver work
Compliance & Regulatory Scheduling
- Coordinate TSSA (Technical Standards and Safety Authority) inspection scheduling to ensure projects meet compliance milestones without impacting delivery
- Assist with eSafe scheduling and documentation as required; training on both TSSA and eSafe processes will be provided for the right candidate
What We're Looking For
Must-Have Qualities
- Proactive and highly organized — you do not wait for problems to find you; you are always two steps ahead on the schedule
- A master of delegation — you know how to assign work with clarity and follow through without doing everything yourself
- Strong communicator — you translate complexity into simple, clear updates for engineers, fabricators, and clients alike
- Calm under pressure — you keep projects on track by solving problems methodically, not reactively
- Collaborative and respectful — you build trust with the team by being straightforward, dependable, and fair
Experience & Qualifications
- PMP certification (Project Management Professional) or equivalent formal project management training strongly preferred
- 5+ years of project management experience in a manufacturing, custom fabrication, or industrial environment is a must
- Demonstrated experience managing critical path scheduling on multi-discipline projects
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Wrike
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing methods such as KanBan
- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand fabrication processes at a level sufficient to plan and schedule work accurately
- Experience in custom stainless steel fabrication, pressure vessel manufacturing, or process equipment is a significant asset
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes including TIG welding, fitting, machining, and more a strong asset
- Knowledge of TSSA or eSafe processes is a bonus; full training provided for the right candidate
- PEng or technical trades background combined with project management experience is a plus, but not required
