We are seeking a Client Care Assistant (CCA) to join our team at the Addiction Recovery Centre (ARC), a voluntary medical detoxification program supporting individuals experiencing withdrawal from alcohol and other substances. The CCA works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to maintain a safe, secure, and therapeutic environment. Key responsibilities include monitoring client activity, responding to client needs, and applying de-escalation techniques, supporting admissions, assisting clinical staff, facilitating client activities, and contributing to effective team communication through documentation and shift reporting. This position requires the ability to work in a physically and emotionally demanding environment, including responding to crisis situations and supporting clients with complex needs.
As a Client Care Assistant, you will work as a team member with all staff assisting in the provision of supportive care to clients with addictions. Your primary duties include providing supportive care to clients, ensuring a safe and secure facility, responding to client requests, communicating effectively with other staff and contributing to a therapeutic environment through interaction with clients. As part of an interprofessional team, you will contribute to the delivery of residential services to persons with an addiction promoting client respect, autonomy, health and improved quality of life. You will support clients to participate in activities of daily living, recreational and social activities, and educational and employment activities. You will also work collaboratively with other health and service providers to maintain a safe and supportive environment.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of Grade 12. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years' experience in addiction, mental health or related field as deemed appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications:
Nonviolent Crisis Intervention. Suicide Prevention Training (SPRAM). Violence Assessment and Screening Tool (VAST). Experience in a residential or recovery-oriented setting. Experience supporting group or recreational programming.
