Shift:
Reporting to the QA Manager, the Food Safety Compliance Coordinator is responsible for providing functional expertise and support for sanitation, data analysis and for coordination of QA documentation and records.

Assist in improvement, organization and efficiency of QA department through maintenance of accurate, timely documentation related to data control.

Monitor production activities to ensure compliance with HACCP/ prerequisite programs, SQF requirements and customer safety and quality programs. Assist with improvement of HACCP program.

Daily Verification of process and filler CIP/ COP/cleaning & verification of CCP SCADA data as applicable.

Verifying the daily production check sheets and cleaning records.

Manage and verify the data entry of the plant’s environmental/air/water monitoring program, assist in yearly environmental validation/ verification.

Manage and verification of the Master Sanitation Schedule

Assist with Hold/release procedures/tool.

Assist with Customer documentation requests.

Assist with Nestles releases and provide COS Forms to Nestlé DC's.

Provide hands-on participation when required in daily quality checks for ongoing production such as: in process analytical and sensory evaluation, samples collection, complete in process and on packaging CCP checks, conduct testing on incoming bulk ingredients, conduct incubation & retained sample check, calibrate lab. Equipment, ensuring FP labels, line check sheets and weight control are prepared.

Perform other duties as assigned.

3-5 years’ experience in food processing or related industry
- Relevant post-secondary educations/training

Strong written & verbal communication skills

The proven ability to make & sustain effective interpersonal relationships

Demonstrated proficiency with MSOffice

Ability to operate effectively in a customer focused, fast paced team environment

Interact with production workers and supervisor to provide information and answer quality related questions

Assist in training team members in job duties, sanitation and quality procedures

Work cooperatively with other co-workers and supervisors as a quality focused and service-oriented team player

Solve problems independently in consultation with the upper management, equipment and chemical suppliers following standard guidelines and procedures

Hourly starting rate of $23.19-$24.24 per hour and eligibility for hourly rate increases every 6 months to get to $33.13-$34.63 per hour by year 2. Blender positions are eligible for an additional $0.50/hr.

Typical shifts are 8-12 hours per day. Additional unscheduled time after hours and on weekends may also be required. Employees must be willing and able to wear personal protective equipment as required by Company policy and/or legal requirements. In addition, certain jobs may require employees to:
