Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional customer service, demonstrating strong communication skills, and driving sales through effective product knowledge and upselling techniques. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage with customers, showcase our products, and contribute to a positive shopping experience. Bilingual abilities and experience in technology sales or product demos are highly valued. The Sales Associate will play a key role in maintaining an organized sales floor, managing transactions, and ensuring customer satisfaction at all times.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits
Engage in active selling and upselling to maximize sales opportunities
Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling and transactions
Maintain merchandising standards to ensure attractive product displays
Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
Manage inventory levels and restock shelves as needed
Handle cashiering duties including processing payments via cash, credit, or debit cards
Utilize strong communication skills to inform customers about promotions and new products
Demonstrate effective time management by efficiently assisting multiple customers during shifts
Uphold phone etiquette when responding to inquiries or providing support remotely if required
Support store organization through maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the sales area

Qualifications

Previous experience in retail sales, merchandising, or technical sales preferred
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage diverse customers effectively
Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve a broader customer base
Experience with POS systems, cash handling, and cashiering procedures
Knowledge of basic math for transaction accuracy and inventory management
Customer service-oriented mindset with excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to perform product demos confidently and educate customers on technical features if applicable
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for maintaining store standards
Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods
Professional phone etiquette when interacting with customers remotely or over the phone

Pay: $18.25-$20.00 per hour
