Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fabricator/Welder/Millwright to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This role is vital in constructing, assembling, and maintaining complex metal structures and machinery, ensuring precision and quality at every step.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent welding skills, and hands-on experience with industrial equipment. The Fabricator / Welder / Millwright is responsible for manufacturing, assembling, repairing, modifying, and rebuilding structural and mechanical components in accordance with engineered drawings and project specifications.
This role combines metal fabrication, precision welding, mechanical fitting, equipment alignment, and quality control within a production shop environment. This position supports both shop-based fabrication and preparation for field installation projects.

Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications.
- Fabricate and assemble structural steel, platforms, guards, conveyors, and custom metal components.
- Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum as required.
- Operate fabrication equipment including saws, ironworkers, drill presses, brakes, shears, and grinders.
- Measure, cut, fit, and weld materials to precise tolerances.
- Assist with millwright work, equipment installation, maintenance, and repairs at customer sites when required.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Measure and lay out materials accurately.
- Cut steel using saws, torches, plasma cutters, or other equipment.
- Grind, bevel, and prepare materials for welding.
- Fit and assemble components before welding.
- Use jigs and fixtures to ensure proper alignment.
- Operate welding machines safely.
- Use fabrication equipment such as Band saws/Ironworkers/Drill presses/Grinders/Press brakes/Shears/Forklifts and overhead cranes (if certified)
- Inspect welds for defects.
- Check dimensions and tolerances.
- Ensure finished products meet customer specifications.
- Correct welding or fabrication errors when necessary.
- Follow shop safety procedures.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Handle compressed gas cylinders safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Read tape measures accurately.
- Understand fractions, decimals, and metric measurements.
- Calculate angles and material lengths.
- Use squares, levels, and other measuring tools.
