Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Masonry Labourer/Mason to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will assist with various masonry projects, supporting skilled masons in building, restoring, and renovating structures using a variety of tools and techniques. Your energetic approach and commitment to quality will contribute to the successful completion of projects that enhance our communities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in masonry, construction, and restoration while working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Assist experienced masons with preparing materials, mixing mortar, and setting bricks or stones according to project specifications
Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently to support construction activities
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution
Support renovation and restoration projects by removing old materials and preparing surfaces for new installations
Perform caulking and sealing tasks to ensure structures are weatherproof and energy-efficient
Maintain a clean and organized worksite by disposing of debris and storing tools properly
Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment

Requirements

Previous construction experience or familiarity with masonry work is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation is highly desirable
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions accurately
Strong physical stamina with the ability to stand, lift, bend, and work in various weather conditions for extended periods
Knowledge of renovation techniques, restoration processes, and caulking methods is a plus
Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards learning new skills and adhering to safety standards
