Job Overview
The High Reach Forklift Operator – Freezer Operations is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and retrieval of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods within PCFP's freezer and warehouse facilities. This position plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting production requirements, and ensuring customer orders are fulfilled while adhering to food safety, quality, and workplace safety standards. You will be working full 40 hours a week from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Key Accountabilities
- Operate high reach forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently within freezer and warehouse environments.
- Perform pre-shift inspections of forklifts and equipment and promptly report any deficiencies or maintenance concerns.
- Safely store, retrieve, and rotate inventory within racking systems while maintaining inventory accuracy and maximizing storage utilization.
- Move raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished goods to support production and shipping activities.
- Load and unload trailers in accordance with established procedures and food safety requirements.
- Verify product identity, lot codes, quantities, and storage locations during material movements.
- Utilize ERP systems, handheld scanners, and warehouse technology to complete inventory transactions and maintain accurate records.
- Support cycle counts, inventory audits, and inventory reconciliation activities as required.
- Maintain freezer storage areas in an organized and orderly manner to ensure safe and efficient product access.
- Identify and report inventory discrepancies, product damage, equipment concerns, food safety issues, and health and safety hazards.
- Act as the GMP and Safety Champion for Freezer Operations, promoting compliance with GMP requirements and safe work practices.
- Monitor housekeeping, product storage, pallet condition, aisle clearance, and general freezer organization to maintain GMP and safety standards.
- Oversee the safe operation and daily monitoring of a semi-autonomousracking system and Automha pallet runners.
- Assist with shipping, receiving, warehouse, production, and sanitation activities as required to support operational needs.
- Work collaboratively with Production, Shipping & Receiving, Inventory, and Warehouse teams to ensure uninterrupted product flow.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of forklift experience, including recent high reach forklift operation experience.
- Experience working in freezer or cold storage environments preferred.
- Valid forklift certification or the ability to successfully complete company forklift certification requirements.
- Experience working with warehouse management systems, ERP systems, RF scanners, or inventory management software preferred.
- Ability to safely operate equipment at elevated heights and within narrow aisle racking systems.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity and safety standards.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Strong commitment to attendance, reliability, and teamwork.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended periods of standing and operating equipment.
Working Conditions
- Work is primarily performed in freezer and cold storage environments.
- Regular exposure to temperatures below freezing.
- Use of company-provided cold weather and personal protective equipment is required.
- Some work may be required in warehouse, production, shipping, receiving, and outdoor yard environments.
- Overtime, shift work, and weekend work may be required based on operational requirements.
Pay: $25.00 per hour
