NL Dairy Co-op has recently purchased Agropur Co-operative’s Newfoundland and Labrador fluid milk processing and distribution business, including the Central Dairies brand. The new co-operative is owned by nineteen dairy farmers from across the province, proudly taking care at every stage from farm to fridge, producing, processing and distributing 100% local, quality milk – Right here at home.

POSITION PROFILE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Director of Sales and Marketing at NL Dairy Co-op, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth, enhancing the Central Dairies brand, and ensuring revenue targets are met. Reporting to the President and Chief Administrative Officer, your responsibilities will span both sales and marketing functions, making this a dynamic and multifaceted role. This new role has the unique opportunity to design and shape the future of Central Dairies’ sales and marketing efforts. Ideally, we are looking for a sales and marketing leader who combines strategic thinking, hands-on sales and marketing expertise, and a passion for local manufacturing in a team-centric environment.
You will be responsible for:
- Developing, implementing and monitoring a sales and marketing strategy aligned with NL Dairy Coop’s business and growth objectives
- Managing Key Accounts through effective relationship management, resulting in customer satisfaction and loyalty
- Developing and executing dynamic marketing campaigns and conduct analysis to inform business decisions and identify new opportunities
- Representing our Central Dairies brand in the trade with our customers
- Creating a sales focused culture to deliver growth and results
- Evaluating brand performance, profitability, and market positioning
- Preparing and implementing brand, sales, and key account plans, including an annual calendar to schedule and monitor implementation
- Creating and managing budgets for sales and marketing activities and ensuring resource optimization for maximum impact
- Regularly monitoring sales and marketing metrics and utilizing data to drive execution
- Preparation and presentation of sales and marketing plans and reports to the Senior Leadership Team and Board of Directors
- Representing the voice of the customer at the senior leadership table
- Leading the sales and marketing team
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field
- 10+ years of progressive experience in sales and marketing
- Account management experience with national retailers would be an asset
- Knowledge and proficiency in sales and marketing best practices, tools and processes
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Proven ability to lead others to positively contribute to an engaging progressive workplace culture
- A collaborative, engaging, and consultative leadership approach
- Demonstrated ability to build trusting relationships inside and outside the organization
- Knowledge and proficiency in sales and marketing best practices, tools and processes
- Proven ability to bring creative ideas and solutions using data and metrics to inform sales and marketing decisions
