Position Details
Nason Contracting Group Ltd. is currently seeking Journeyperson and Apprentice Insulators to support insulation scopes on our project in Abbotsford, BC.
- Schedule: 10 days on, 4 days off – Tuesday Start
- Hours: 10 hours per day
- Wage: $27.74-$46.23 per hour
- Travel: Allowance per Pre-Job

What You Will Be Working On
- Insulators are responsible for installing, maintaining, and removing a variety of insulation systems in industrial environments. Apprentices will work under the supervision of Journeypersons and Forepersons while developing trade skills.
- Install, remove, and repair insulation systems on piping, equipment, and vessels
- Work with a variety of insulation systems including:
Hot and cold insulation, Cryogenic insulation systems, Acoustic insulation, Fireproofing applications, Removable insulation systems (blankets and covers), Cladding and weatherproofing systems
- Interpret drawings, specifications, and work packages (Journeyperson level)
- Assist with material handling, preparation, and installation activities (Apprentice level)
- Ensure proper material selection, thickness, and installation methods are followed
- Work safely at heights, in confined spaces, and in active industrial environments
- Follow all site safety requirements, FLRAs, and hazard assessments
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe and working condition
- Coordinate with supervisors and other trades to support efficient workflow
- Support quality control requirements and minimize rework
What We Are Looking For
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:
- Valid Journeyperson or Apprentice (Heat & Frost or equivalent experience with proof of hours).
- Experience in industrial construction, maintenance, or turnaround projects is an asset
- Strong understanding of insulation systems (Journeyperson) or willingness to learn (Apprentice
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications (Journeyperson preferred)
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Physically capable of performing site-based work, including lifting, climbing, and working at heights
- Organized, dependable, and able to follow direction
