Accounting & Payroll Administrator

Part-Time (Approx. 20 Hours/Week) with Opportunity for Full-Time Growth

As one of Western Canada’s leading Construction Staffing partners, Ultimate Tradesmen Ltd. is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Accounting & Payroll Administrator to join our growing team. This is a part-time position of approximately 20 hours per week with a strong likelihood of transitioning to full-time in Q4 2026.

What You'll Do

Accounts Receivable

Assist with customer invoicing and collections
Record customer payments in Avionté and QuickBooks Online
Maintain accurate customer account records

Accounts Payable

Process vendor invoices
Prepare and assist with cheque runs and payment processing
Maintain organized accounts payable records

Bookkeeping

Record and reconcile company credit card transactions
Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
Assist with intercompany invoicing
Support month-end and year-end accounting activities

Payroll

Assist with payroll processing and payroll-related journal entries
Generate Records of Employment (ROEs)
Maintain employee deductions and payroll records
Prepare monthly health benefit reporting
Assist with payroll liability remittances and related reconciliations
Cross-train with the Senior Administrator to support payroll continuity

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will have:

Knowledge of full-cycle bookkeeping and payroll processes
Experience with QuickBooks Online (required)
Strong Microsoft 365 skills, particularly Excel and Word
Experience with Avionté is considered an asset
Excellent organizational and time management skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong understanding of confidentiality and professionalism
Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines
A positive attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team
A genuine appreciation for working with numbers and solving problems
