Full job description

About the Role

We are looking for part-time HR Coordinator to build out this function, bring structure and consistency to our people practices, and become a trusted resource for our leaders, managers and employees alike.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to embed their HR experience and knowledge within a collaborative, detail-oriented, and relationship-driven company.

This role will provide one with the opportunity to design and implement HR initiatives that embeds the company’s values and vision, and will have direct access to the leadership team, as it directly reports to the CFO.

Duties

Maintain accurate, up-to-date employee files
Proactively provide resources and tools to support managers in preparing for difficult conversations
Advise on best practices for goal setting, tailored to different roles, for enhanced performance discussions
Own and coordinate the full recruitment process, while maintaining accuracy and consistency of language used in job postings
Support and coordinate with leadership on hard-to-fill roles, as needed
Maintain a strong, current understanding of employment legislation and keep the employee handbook regularly updated
Review role scopes across teams, help identify when workloads may be unsustainable, and provide options for alternative arrangements
Own the employee onboarding process
Organize and coordinate ad-hoc training sessions, both internally and with external vendors
Embed the values of Wiebe Properties and contribute to special projects with other teams as a collaborative team player
Grow into a back-up coaching resource for managers over time

What we're looking for

A professional that has strong HR knowledge or experience, with a high level of attention and discretion
Someone that is comfortable building and maintaining organized systems and processes
Strong understanding of how to structure and navigate difficult conversations
A genuine passion for people with a highly inquisitive perspective that connects what the company does and where HR slots in
High accountability and meticulous attention to detail, which is highly reflective of the brand and how the company operates
Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with a good degree of independence
Prior HR generalist or coordinator experience is an asset
