Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience. This role requires strong communication skills, efficiency, and a passion for hospitality. Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided. The Server will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling transactions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction.

Duties

Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm.
Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS.
Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards.
Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, including cashiering duties.
Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times.
Assist in setting up tables, cleaning dining areas, and maintaining a tidy work environment.
Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities while providing excellent customer service.
Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods.
Address guest inquiries professionally, resolving issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
Follow all food safety regulations and sanitation protocols in accordance with health standards.

Requirements

Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred; familiarity with the food industry is a plus.
Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous.
Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently.
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
Ability to handle food safely and adhere to sanitation standards.
Basic math skills for cash handling and billing accuracy.
Experience with food preparation, serving, and hospitality best practices is desirable.
Good communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
