Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team.
The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. This role requires a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in food service or as a barista is preferred but not required; training will be provided. The position involves handling cash transactions, operating POS systems, and maintaining food safety standards to ensure a welcoming and safe experience for all customers.

Responsibilities

MUST be able to create consistent, high-quality latte art and demonstrate proper milk texturing techniques. Applicants without latte art experience will not be considered.
Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks according to company recipes and standards
Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for accurate order processing and cash handling
Take customer orders efficiently while providing excellent customer service
Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments using cash or card
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including food preparation stations and dining spaces
Assist with food preparation and serving food items as needed
Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times
Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service
Restock supplies as necessary to ensure smooth operations throughout shifts

Skills

Previous barista experience or background in food industry service preferred
Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
Proficiency with POS systems
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently
Basic math skills for cash handling, giving correct change, and processing transactions accurately
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Effective communication skills for interacting with customers and team members
Experience with serving, food preparation, and general food service operations is a plus
