Spark by Hilton Oshawa is seeking a reliable, customer-focused, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Part-Time Front Desk Agent / Night Auditor. This position combines exceptional guest service with overnight auditing responsibilities to help ensure a smooth, secure, and efficient hotel operation.

Key Responsibilities

Front Desk Duties

Welcome guests and provide a friendly and professional check-in and check-out experience.
Respond promptly and courteously to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns.
Process reservations, cancellations, modifications, and room assignments.
Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
Maintain accurate guest and front desk records.
Promote hotel amenities, services, and local attractions.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk area.

Night Audit Duties

Complete daily financial and accounting procedures.
Reconcile guest accounts and balance daily transactions.
Verify room charges, payments, and revenue postings.
Prepare and distribute required daily reports.
Identify and resolve discrepancies as required.
Maintain hotel security and safety procedures throughout the overnight shift.
Complete all required night audit and end-of-day procedures accurately and on time.

Scheduling & Availability

This is a part-time position, and shifts are scheduled based on seniority, employee availability, and operational requirements.
Candidates must be flexible and available to work weekdays, weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays as required.
Flexibility to accept last-minute shift coverage requests when operational needs arise is strongly preferred.
Availability may vary based on hotel occupancy, staffing requirements, and business needs.
Employees are expected to communicate their availability accurately and provide reasonable flexibility when additional coverage is required.

Qualifications

Previous hotel, front desk, night audit, or customer service experience is an asset.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during overnight hours.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Basic computer skills and the ability to learn hotel property management systems.
Ability to handle cash and financial transactions responsibly.
Reliable, professional, and guest-focused attitude.
Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
