We are seeking a warm, professional, and reliable Part‑Time Receptionist to support our Markham office on Mondays, Thursdays and weekends (1:00pm – 9:00pm). In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and callers - bringing calm, kindness, and clarity to every interaction.

Job Description

Answer calls from multiple telephone lines, screening and directing calls to appropriate party and message taking for those who do not want to leave a voicemail
Ensure professional and courteous approach with clients, visitors and employees
Handle incoming/outgoing mail and courier packages
Greet visitors in professional manner and notify appropriate person of their arrival
Update monthly calendar with onsite and offsite courses, meetings, and seminars
Verify phone numbers and addresses of clients for field staff
Verify voicemail numbers for field staff and HCSS (Home and Community Care Support Services)
Liaise with building management for maintenance requests
May sort, date stamp, pickup and deliver mail to employees

Qualifications

High School Diploma
1 year of previous reception and switchboard experience
Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Excellent verbal communication skills and good written skills
Ability to work in a fast paced environment where multitasking and prioritizing is essential
