Job Summary: The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the administrative functions of the organization’s inventory control systems. The role ensures the effective implementation of internal procedures, documentation processes, and control measures to support accurate inventory tracking, reporting, and operational efficiency. Working from a head office environment, the position supports coordination between logistics, administration, finance, and other operational teams to maintain consistent inventory practices across the organization.
Job Responsibilities:
· Oversee the operations and administrative functions of the company’s inventory control systems, including inventory documentation, reporting processes, and internal record-keeping procedures across the organization;
· Develop and implement policies, procedures, and control systems to ensure accuracy, consistency, and efficiency in inventory tracking and reporting activities;
· Coordinate the flow of operational information, documentation, and reporting between finance, logistics, warehouse, administration, and purchasing support teams;
· Supervise staff responsible for inventory records, stock reporting, reconciliation processes, and operational documentation, ensuring compliance with established procedures;
· Establish and maintain internal control measures and audit processes to monitor inventory accuracy, identify discrepancies, and support regulatory and organizational compliance;
· Monitor and administer budgets related to inventory control systems, equipment, and operational support services;
· Analyze inventory reports and operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvements;
· Prepare and present inventory performance reports, summaries, and administrative analyses to senior management to support operational planning and decision-making;
· Coordinate administrative aspects of inventory-related systems and tools, including reporting platforms and data management processes;
· Liaise with internal departments and external service providers regarding inventory control procedures, documentation requirements, and operational support services;
· Participate in the recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of staff involved in inventory control and administrative support functions; and
· Other duties as required.
Minimum Skills Requirements:
· A post-secondary degree or diploma in business administration, commerce, operations management, or a related field is required;
· Prior experience supervising or managing inventory, logistics, warehousing, supply chains or related administrative functions within grocery, food, or retail distribution industry is required;
· Must have three (3) years of professional experience in operational coordination, inventory control, purchasing, records management, or administrative management;
· Proficiency in standard business software and reporting tools (e.g., Microsoft Office or similar systems) is required;
· Must be dependable, reliable, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment; and
· Must have a professional attitude, time management and communication skills.
