We currently have a need for GMAW and FCAW/MCAW certified Welders at our Elmira, ON manufacturing facility.
You will:
- Perform structural welding on cell towers and monopoles.
- Read blueprints and engineering drawings to determine layout of the materials.
- Operate welding and other machinery in the plant.
- Set up, maintain and troubleshoot equipment as needed.
- Use overhead cranes and other lifting devices as needed.
- Follow safe work practices and policies.
- Become a proud member of the United Steelworkers Union - Local 13691-01.
You have:
- Professional Certification (CWB) in either GMAW and/or FCAW/MCAW is required.
- Knowledge of welding and manufacturing best practices, safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.).
- Experience as hardwire/fluxcore welder (ideally hold a CWB certification).
- Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures.
- Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Ability to read, perform calculations and measure using fractions.
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is an asset.
You should be within commuting distance to Elmira, ON or willing to relocate at your own expense and must be legally eligible to work in Canada. Trylon is a 3 shift operation (Sunday night through Friday afternoon) and you will need to be available to work any of the 3 shifts (days, afternoons and nights – non-rotating) and overtime as needed.

Benefits: start after the completion of the probation period; includes drug, dental, health care, STD and life insurance.
Salary: CWB Certified Welders start at $30.91. Increase after 6 months to $33.44. Progression to Fitter Welder is available with higher pay rates. Shift premium is $0.80 per hour for afternoons and $1.05 per hour for nights. Please upload a copy of your CWB certification with your application.
