Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, extensive food preparation and cooking experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food service. As a key member of our kitchen management, the Sous Chef will assist in overseeing daily operations, supervising staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vibrant hospitality environment and develop your career within the food industry.

Responsibilities

Assist the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
Supervise and mentor kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to quality standards
Oversee food handling procedures to ensure compliance with safety regulations and sanitation standards
Coordinate with team members to plan menus, manage inventory, and control costs
Ensure timely serving of dishes while maintaining high standards of taste and presentation
Support training initiatives related to food safety, kitchen techniques, and service excellence
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in accordance with health regulations
Lead by example in demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and leadership within the restaurant environment

Requirements

Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or food service setting
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food industry practices
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
Extensive restaurant management knowledge including food safety protocols and hospitality standards
Excellent skills in food handling, serving, and maintaining high-quality service standards
Previous restaurant experience with a focus on kitchen operations and team management
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Passion for culinary arts with a commitment to excellence in food quality and customer satisfaction

Pay: $45,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
