Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Kitchen Supervisor/Cook to oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure high-quality food preparation, and maintain exceptional customer service standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food industry experience, and a passion for culinary excellence. This role offers an opportunity to lead a dynamic team in a fast-paced hospitality environment, ensuring smooth kitchen workflows and adherence to food safety protocols.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
Oversee food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures to comply with safety regulations
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and monitor stock to minimize waste
Train new staff members on food preparation techniques, safety standards, and POS systems such as Micros POS
Ensure timely service delivery while maintaining high customer satisfaction
Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems and manage cash handling procedures
Monitor kitchen cleanliness and organization, ensuring compliance with health codes
Assist in interviewing and onboarding new team members as needed
Lead by example in providing excellent customer service and fostering a positive team environment

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service operations
Strong supervisory and team management skills with prior restaurant or hospitality management experience
Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
Excellent leadership abilities with experience in supervising staff, including interviewing and training new employees
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
Experience in restaurant management or hotel food services is highly desirable
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory, schedules, and workflow effectively
Previous barista or serving experience is a plus for versatile team support
