Your Role at Kehoe
The Project Coordinator – Heavy Civil & Marine Construction plays an important and varied role in supporting the delivery of active construction projects while contributing to the estimating process that drives how we pursue and win work.
You will work closely with the Senior Project Manager, supporting day-to-day project coordination, cost tracking, document control, and site logistics — while also developing your understanding of how we estimate, price, and build compelling proposals for complex marine construction projects.

What You’ll Be Doing
Project Coordination & Support
- Support the Senior Project Manager in the day-to-day coordination of active heavy civil marine construction projects
- Assist in the preparation of work plans, project schedules, and supporting documentation
- Coordinate subcontractor operations and help ensure compliance with COR and quality standards
- Track subcontractor hours, material quantities, load counts, and daily timesheets to support accurate billing and schedule tracking
- Maintain project document control, including daily reports, change orders, material orders, billing records, and subcontract documentation
- Coordinate site logistics, including material ordering, trucking arrangements, and delivery tracking
- Provide regular status updates and milestone reporting to the Senior Project Manager, identifying schedule or resource adjustments as needed
Field & Marine Operations
- Spend meaningful time on active project sites, developing a hands-on understanding of marine construction methods, sequencing, and field execution
- Operate and learn customized marine equipment used in heavy civil marine construction
- Conduct and assist with bathymetric surveys and other field measurements as required
- Operate and troubleshoot Trimble software and other relevant field technology
- Support quality control testing and monitoring to ensure work meets all specifications and regulatory requirements
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to build your understanding of project scope and site conditions
Estimating Support
- Assist in identifying and reviewing potential project bidding opportunities
- Support the preparation of quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and tender submissions
- Help coordinate supplier and subcontractor quotation requests and follow-ups
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of estimating templates, cost databases, and historical pricing records
- Participate in estimate reviews, bid closings, and project handoff meetings
- Apply strong analytical thinking and numerical instincts to help us pursue the right work at the right price
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Support the implementation and monitoring of project Health & Safety Plans, including FLRAs, emergency response plans, and toolbox talks
- Ensure adherence to OHSA regulations and COR certification requirements
- Maintain health and safety documentation through Corfix or similar platforms
The Ideal Background & Experience
We are looking for someone with:
- Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
- 1–2 years of construction experience, field exposure, or co-op placement considered a strong asset
- A background that demonstrates strong analytical ability, numerical aptitude, and problem-solving skills
- Working towards a C.E.T, P.Eng, or PMP designation considered an asset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
- Experience with estimating, project management, or ERP software considered an asset
- A valid Class G driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required and comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions

Working Conditions
This role offers a genuine blend of office-based coordination and hands-on field work — and that balance is intentional. You will spend time at our Lansdowne, Ontario office supporting project delivery and estimating, and you will also spend meaningful time on active project sites, on the water, and in the field.
Travel premiums apply for project-based site work. You should be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and willing to travel when project needs require it.
