Full job description

Be the calm after the storm! As a Cleaner/Packer/Mover at On Side Restoration, you’ll play a vital role in helping families and businesses recover after disaster strikes. From carefully packing and cleaning belongings and spaces to supporting other restoration crews, you’ll bring care, precision, and positivity to every job. If you’re ready to get dirty, roll up your sleeves and make a real difference when people need it most, we’d love to have you on our team!

Compensation

Salary Range: $21-$24/hour
On-call premium paid for rotating coverage
Overtime opportunities (where applicable)

What You’ll Do

Safely and carefully transfer cargo using company moving truck and utility van
Pack, catalog, and clean contents from disaster-affected areas
Perform pre/post-construction and structural cleaning
Clean fabrics, textiles, and various surfaces
Use Encircle Restoration Software for inventory
Cross training in demolition and water emergencies

What You Bring

1+ year of experience in cleaning and moving
Physically fit, capable of heavy lifting and safety-conscious
Tech-savvy (comfortable using apps/software)
Valid Class G driver’s license and clean abstract
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Strong empathy and a customer‑focused mindset
Excellent attention to detail
Good organizational and communication skills
You genuinely enjoy working with people in a team environment
Clear criminal record
Ability to communicate effectively in English both written and verbal

Disasters can strike at any time so a rotating schedule of 24/7 after hours on-call work is a requirement. Meaning you’ll work regular weekday hours and participate in a rotating after-hours on-call schedule.

Restoration work can be dirty. Flooded basements and sewer backups are the norm. Are you able and willing to work in these conditions?
Are you physically fit? Can you lift 50lbs when required? Are you capable of repetitive heavy lifting? Moving furniture and boxes are the norm in this position so being physically capable is a requirement.
This position requires strength and stamina, packing and moving, safe driving, detailed cleaning for pre and post construction. Are you willing to complete all required tasks as assigned? Please give details

Are you able to work a rotating on call schedule, responding to emergency calls after regular hours? This on call work is in addition to your scheduled daytime hours, and premium pay as well as overtime will be provided.
