Company Overview

Fil-Trek Corporation, a leading manufacturer of industrial filtration equipment, is looking for a motivated and experienced individual to join our team on the night shift.

Summary

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Saw Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in operating various saws and machining equipment. This role is crucial for ensuring precise cuts and high-quality fabrication of materials. The Industrial Saw Operator will work closely with other team members to meet production goals while adhering to safety standards.

Hourly Rate starting at $24 based on experience.

Night Shift Premium: $3.

Schedule: Monday - Thursday 8:00PM - 6:30PM.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain various saws (band saws, circular saws) and manual machine tools (lathe, vertical lathe, milling machine, drill press, iron worker).
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings for both cutting and machining tasks.
Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measures) to ensure quality and accuracy.
Perform basic math to determine material requirements and dimensions.
Conduct routine maintenance on machinery and ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with production and fabrication teams to meet deadlines and standards.
Operate forklifts as needed (certification an asset).
Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a clean and efficient work environment.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Saw Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills related to machining equipment.
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
Experience operating forklifts is a plus; certification may be required.
Knowledge of welding techniques is advantageous for fabrication tasks.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
