Northridge General Contractors is hiring a full-time Carpenter to join our team.
We are a small construction company focused on quality workmanship providing steady year-round work. In the summer, we focus on exterior carpentry including decks, fences, pergolas, gazebos, and sheds. In the winter months, we shift to interior renovations such as basements, kitchens, and bathrooms.
Work begins each morning at our yard in Beamsville, Ontario before traveling to job sites across the Niagara Region and the Greater Hamilton Area. Long-distance travel is rare, but may be required.
Position Details
- Full-time, approximately 40-44 hours/week
- Regular Availability: Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Saturdays are very rare but may be required
- Overtime paid at 1.5x after 88 hours per two-week period
- 3-month probationary period
Pay
$25–$30/hour based on skill and experience
What We’re Looking For
This is an all-around carpenter position for someone experienced in both interior and exterior carpentry. You should be comfortable switching between different types of projects, solving problems on site, and producing high-quality finished work.
You must have a minimum of 5 years of carpentry experience and be confident in:
- Measuring and marking materials accurately
- Cutting, assembling, and installing various materials
- Reading and following drawings
- Using drills, impact drivers, saws, and hand tools
- Delivering clean, professional finishes
This role involves working independently on assigned tasks, as well as part of a small crew. This role is not well suited to somebody who is just starting their carpentry career or who is looking for a stepping stone to another company or career. Requirements
- Valid G driver’s license with clean abstract
- Reliable transportation to and from our Beamsville yard
- Working at Heights certification
- Standard First Aid & AED certification
- Own essential tools: drill, impact driver, circular saw, and hand tools
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Comfortable with physically demanding work
- Must be able to work in occupied residential homes in a professional manner
