Reports To: Assistant Service Managers/Sales Management/Dealership Management
Location: True North Chevrolet Cadillac

Position Summary

The Service Advisor with the focus on internal work orders is responsible for coordinating and managing all internal repair orders (ROs) for new and used vehicle inventory. This role acts as the liaison between the Sales, Service, Parts, and Detail departments to ensure vehicles are inspected, reconditioned, and frontline-ready in a timely and cost-effective manner. The advisor plays a critical role in inventory turn, gross protection, and overall dealership efficiency. When required, the advisor also supports the service drive and assists customers in the absence of one of the other Service Advisors.

Key Responsibilities

Open, manage, and close internal repair orders.
Inspect inventory and document reconditioning needs.
Prioritize repairs based on inventory age and management direction.
Communicate repair status and timelines to Sales and management.
Control reconditioning costs and obtain repair approvals.
Coordinate workflow with technicians and parts department.
Review completed work for accuracy and quality.
Move vehicles as required for operations.
Assist customers and write service repair orders when covering for absent advisors.

Reconditioning cost per unit
Internal RO cycle time
Technician efficiency on internal work
Sales department satisfaction

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Service Advisor, Internal Advisor, or Service Dispatcher preferred.
Strong understanding of automotive repair processes and terminology is an asset.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple repair orders simultaneously.
Detail-oriented with strong follow-through.
Secondary Education (preferred)
Bilingual (English/French) is an asset.

Licensing & Driving Requirements

Valid G Driver’s License
Clean driver’s abstract with no major violations or suspensions.
The ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles safely is an asset.
Must meet dealership insurance eligibility requirements.
