About the Opportunity
Our Public Sector client is seeking one Senior Special Advisor to provide senior-level advisory, analytical, and enterprise integration support for a large-scale digital services transition initiative within the federal government.
The successful candidate will support executive decision-making, enterprise-level planning, and the coordination of digital integration activities across multiple domains, including networks, applications, identity and access management, and enterprise services. This role is advisory in nature and will help maintain a consolidated view of progress, risks, dependencies, and readiness considerations across multiple organizations and workstreams.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Provide advice and analytical support to help maintain an integrated, enterprise-level view of digital transition activities
Support the identification of sequencing considerations, dependencies, and readiness factors across digital domains
Assist in consolidating inputs from multiple Lines of Effort
Support preparation of DG/ADM-level briefings, summaries, and decision support materials
Provide analysis, options, and considerations to inform governance discussions
Assist in aligning reporting inputs for senior governance forums
Support development and maintenance of an enterprise-level view of risks and dependencies
Identify potential cross-domain or cross-organizational issues and bring them to the attention of leadership
Assist with documentation of mitigation consideration
Participate in meetings and working discussions with stakeholders across multiple federal organizations as directed
Support information-sharing and aligning across organizations
Assist in documenting issues and points requiring senior attention or decision
Support the client in monitoring progress against planned integration activities
Assist in assessing transition readiness milestones
Provide advisory input related to operational continuity considerations
Support the development of integrated status summaries and reporting products
Assist in maintaining a single, coherent enterprise-level view of transition progress for senior leadership use
About You
The successful candidate will have the following:
Secondary school diploma and certificate, diploma or degree in a relevant field from a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution, or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience
At least ten (10) years of experience, within the last fifteen (15) years, supporting enterprise-level digital transformation or large-scale IM/IT initiatives within the Government of Canada
Experience supporting integration or advisory roles across multiple federal organizations
Experience in at least three of the following domains: networks/infrastructure, applications/enterprise systems, or identity/access management
A minimum of five (5) years of experience, within the last ten (10) years, providing strategic advice and decision-support while engaging senior stakeholders at the DG/ADM level or equivalent
Experience supporting at least one large-scale initiative involving multiple organizations, interdependent workstreams, and mission-critical service delivery impacts
Bilingual proficiency in English and French
Valid Reliability Status security clearance
Assets may include:
Experience preparing executive-level briefing materials, summaries, options analysis, and decision-support documentation
Experience identifying risks, dependencies, sequencing considerations, and operational readiness factors across complex digital or IM/IT initiatives
Experience working with multiple stakeholder groups and supporting information-sharing across organizations
