Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive kitchen experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food quality and service. As a key member of our restaurant management team, the Sous Chef will assist in overseeing daily kitchen operations, supervising staff, and ensuring adherence to food safety standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated culinary professional to contribute to a vibrant hospitality environment and support the overall success of our restaurant.

Duties

Assist the Head Chef in developing menus, recipes, and food presentation standards.
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including cooks and food prep personnel, ensuring efficient workflow.
Oversee food preparation processes, maintaining high standards of quality, consistency, and presentation.
Ensure all food handling and safety procedures are strictly followed in compliance with health regulations.
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely serving of dishes and excellent customer service.
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and monitor stock to minimize waste.
Train new team members on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and restaurant policies.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area at all times.
Support restaurant management in daily operations, including scheduling and problem-solving as needed.

Requirements

Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment.
Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
Extensive restaurant experience with a focus on kitchen operations and team management.
Knowledge of food handling regulations and best practices within the food industry.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with staff and front-of-house personnel.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.
Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant management is highly desirable.
A passion for culinary excellence combined with a professional attitude toward service delivery. This role is perfect for a dedicated culinary professional eager to advance their career within a supportive team environment focused on excellence in hospitality and food service delivery.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour
