Full job description

Herriott Street Dental is a busy, progressive, and joyful dental office located in Perth, Ontario. Our clinic is seeking an organized, outgoing, and friendly individual to join our team. The Dental Administrator/Dental Receptionist will demonstrate excellent customer service skills, strong patient engagement, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone who is reliable, dedicated, and looking to contribute to a positive atmosphere for patients and staff alike.

What You’ll Do:

Team Support

Contribute to a collaborative, positive team culture
Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Exhibit excellent communication skills
Uphold consistent clinic standards

Patient Experience

Greet and welcome patients in a kind and professional manner
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a timely manner
Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care

Scheduling & Operations

Schedule appointments and maintain the electronic medical records (EMR)
Maintain patient records and update electronic records
Coordinate referrals to specialists as needed

Administrative & Financial

Process patient payments and maintain accurate financial records
Verify insurance coverage and assist patients and staff with billing questions
Order supplies and coordinate general office maintenance as needed
Ensure the waiting area is clean and organized
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and photocopying

What We're Looking For

Experience:

Minimum 1 year of administrative experience (Required)
Experience as dental administrator, dental receptionist, or similar dental office role is considered an asset (Preferred)

Education:

Completion of a post-secondary program in Dental Office Administration, Medical Office Administration, Business Administration, or a related field is considered an asset.
