Responsibilities

Assist Early Childhood Educators in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities and curriculum.
Support children's learning through play, exploration, and daily routines.
Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, meal times, rest periods, and transitions.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
Observe and report children's progress, development, and any concerns to the lead educator.
Encourage positive social interactions and help children develop communication and self-help skills.
Support children with diverse learning needs and abilities.
Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members.
Follow all licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and centre policies.
Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and ongoing training as required.

Qualifications

Valid Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA) Certificate recognized by the Province of British Columbia.
Valid First Aid Certificate (Emergency Child Care First Aid & CPR or equivalent).
Criminal Record Check clearance for working with children.
Previous experience working with young children is an asset.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patient, caring, dependable, and able to work effectively in a team environment.

Experience

Pay: $18.25-$20.50 per hour
