Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Kitchen Lead to oversee daily kitchen operations in a dynamic food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food preparation and cooking experience, and a solid understanding of food safety and restaurant management. As a Kitchen Lead, you will play a vital role in ensuring high-quality food service, maintaining a safe and efficient kitchen, and guiding team members to deliver exceptional dining experiences. This position offers an opportunity to lead a dedicated team within a vibrant hospitality setting, emphasizing teamwork, food industry best practices, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to quality standards
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain consistency and excellence in menu items
Manage food handling procedures in compliance with safety regulations and sanitation standards
Lead and motivate kitchen staff, providing training and guidance on food safety, cooking techniques, and service protocols
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely serving of meals and optimal customer experience
Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
Enforce health and safety policies to maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment
Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and presentation standards
Serve as a role model for professionalism, hospitality, and leadership within the team

Requirements

Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or food service setting
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling techniques
Knowledge of restaurant management principles and kitchen operations
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively
Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations (e.g., HACCP)
Excellent communication skills with the ability to serve as a positive role model for staff
Previous experience in the food industry or hospitality sector preferred
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; leadership qualities are essential for success in this role

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
