In this fast-paced role, you help clinicians and patients get the information they need to get a correct diagnosis, and restore, maintain, or optimize health. You'll have the opportunity to perform a variety of routine and specialized tests, including daily processing, testing, resulting, and reporting of diagnostic samples, along with preparing a variety of blood products for transfusion. As a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) I, you will be responsible for the daily processing, testing, results analysis and reporting of diagnostic samples within the laboratory department. Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Works well in a team environment. Able to multi-task and prioritize work as needed. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience with Beaker and Wellsky LIS. Previous experience in a Hematology and/or Transfusion Medicine laboratory of medium size and complexity or larger is considered an asset.
