Full job description

Hughes Intelligence was established in 1994 and is located in Sarnia, Ontario. We adhere to the highest standards of security guard training, business security services, private investigation and more.

We are currently recruiting Security Guards to join our growing team providing security services in a variety of different settings ranging from healthcare institutions to retail and industrial locations. We currently have 2 PART-TIME vacancies to fill.

We are currently hiring for security guards who are interested in working both within Long-term Care homes with residents as well as traditional security work.

Security Guard responsibilities:

Protecting people, assets & property at client locations
Assist with High Intensity Needs Residents in Long Term Care settings on a 1:1 basis
Monitoring access points using surveillance & alarm systems
Conducting preventive surveillance
Providing impeccable customer service
Preventing fire, theft & vandalism through vigilance
Verifying & inspecting all safety equipment
Enforcing client property regulations
Writing reports
Assist with screening measures such as asking specific screening questions and other measures that may be implemented

Security Guard requirements:

Valid Standard First Aid & CPR certification (Must be from a Red Cross trained organization)
Must pass a Vulnerable Police Check (VPC) (REQUIRED)
A Recent 2-Step TB test or equivalent within the past 6 months
Valid Driver's License (REQUIRED)
Own vehicle or reliable method of transportation (REQUIRED)
Willing to travel out of Sarnia for locations such as Petrolia, Grand Bend, Wallaceburg & Chatham. You can expect to be scheduled in Petrolia and Grand Bend as needed.
Previous experience working as a security guard or previous experience within Long Term Care or working with the elderly is an asset
Full availability including nights, days, afternoons, weekends & statutory holidays, 8 to 12 hour shifts
Proactive, attention-to-detail, self-motivated, team players

Are you willing to travel out of Sarnia? If hired, you could be scheduled in Sarnia but, but also Petrolia and Grand Bend.
