Full job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a Marketing & Events Manager to lead marketing initiatives across a multi-location restaurant group.

This is a hands-on role focused on driving traffic, increasing guest frequency, supporting restaurant growth, and building strong local awareness. The successful candidate will manage marketing strategy and execution across promotions, events, digital marketing, social media, websites, local partnerships, and restaurant openings.

This role works closely with ownership, operations, restaurant managers, and external suppliers to ensure marketing is practical, consistent, and effective across all locations.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Campaigns

Develop annual, seasonal, and location-specific marketing plans.
Create campaigns and promotions designed to increase traffic, sales, and repeat visits.
Coordinate digital, traditional, social, local store, and in-restaurant marketing.
Work with ownership and operations to align marketing with business priorities and budgets.
Review campaign performance and recommend changes based on results.

Events & Local Store Marketing

Plan and coordinate restaurant events including live entertainment, trivia, themed nights, fundraisers, patio events, holiday campaigns, and community activations.
Develop clear event plans covering budgets, timelines, promotion, suppliers, entertainment, staffing requirements, and execution.
Support restaurant managers with tools and materials needed to successfully deliver promotions and events.
Build local partnerships, sponsorships, and community marketing opportunities.
Attend key events and activations where hands-on marketing support is required.

Restaurant Openings

Develop pre-opening, launch, and post-opening marketing plans for new locations.
Coordinate advertising, social media, local outreach, signage, photography, digital listings, and opening promotions.
Plan preview events, friends-and-family events, and grand-opening activities.
Ensure websites, social channels, Google Business Profiles, advertising, and location information are ready prior to opening.
Monitor launch performance and adjust marketing during the opening period.

Digital Marketing & Social Media

Manage and maintain restaurant websites, including menus, promotions, hours, events, photography, and location information.
Oversee Google Business Profiles, local SEO, Google Ads, analytics, and related digital tools.
Develop social media content calendars across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and other relevant platforms.
Coordinate content creation and capture photos or video when appropriate.
Manage or coordinate paid digital advertising and monitor campaign performance.
Support email marketing and customer communication initiatives.

Brand & Marketing Materials

Maintain consistent brand standards across digital and physical marketing.
Coordinate signage, menus, promotional materials, table materials, print advertising, direct mail, and other restaurant marketing collateral.
Work with designers, photographers, printers, media partners, agencies, entertainers, influencers, and other suppliers as required.
Review marketing materials and creative before production or launch.

Budgeting & Reporting

Help manage marketing budgets and track campaign and event spending.
Obtain supplier quotes and recommend where marketing investment should be increased, reduced, or redirected.
Monitor advertising, event, website, email, social media, and sales-related performance.
Provide clear reporting to ownership on results, opportunities, and upcoming priorities.

Qualifications

3–5+ years of marketing experience, preferably in restaurants, hospitality, retail, entertainment, or another consumer-facing industry.
Experience managing campaigns across multiple marketing channels.
Strong understanding of social media, digital advertising, local marketing, promotions, and events.
Experience with WordPress, Google Business Profiles, Google Ads, Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, and email marketing platforms is considered an asset.
Strong writing, communication, organization, and project-management skills.
Comfortable working with restaurant managers, operations teams, ownership, agencies, and external suppliers.
Ability to manage multiple locations, deadlines, and competing priorities.
Willingness to attend restaurant events, openings, and activations outside regular business hours when required.
Valid driver's licence and ability to travel between restaurant locations.

Preferred Experience

Multi-location restaurant or hospitality marketing.
Restaurant openings or grand-opening campaigns.
Event planning and execution.
Local media, public relations, sponsorships, or community partnerships.
Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
Photography and basic video content creation.
Marketing budget management.
Understanding of restaurant sales, operations, and promotional profitability.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a well-rounded marketer who is comfortable both planning and executing.

The right candidate can develop a campaign, organize an event, coordinate an opening, review advertising performance, update a website, work with restaurant managers, manage suppliers, and keep multiple initiatives moving at the same time.

They should be resourceful, organized, commercially minded, and comfortable working in a fast-moving restaurant environment.

Pay: $65,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
