Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
At least 2–3 years of experience in manufacturing accounting or plant finance.
Experienced at cost variance analysis (actual vs. standard) in a manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience supporting the period‑end financial close, including journal entries and reconciliations.
Have been responsible for budgeting and forecasting for one or more manufacturing sites.
Experienced working with standard costing processes in a manufacturing setting.
Have been supporting financial reporting for multiple manufacturing plants simultaneously.
Have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, complex formulas).
Have worked with SAP or another ERP system in a finance or accounting role.
Able and willing to work on-site.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manufacturing Partnership: Build strong relationships with Plant Management and Operations teams to ensure accurate financial data processing and provide insights that support strategic decision-making.
- Cost Analysis Expertise: Perform detailed plant cost analysis, including actual vs. standard cost reviews, variance analysis, and identification of cost drivers impacting manufacturing performance.
- Financial Close & Reporting: Oversee the period-end close process for assigned plants, including journal entries, inventory reconciliations, plant cost statement analysis, and capital project tracking.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Partner with plant teams to develop annual budgets, monitor performance, and prepare periodic financial reports aligned with manufacturing objectives.
- Standard Costing Oversight: Collaborate with Operations and Costing teams to validate data integrity in standard costing processes and ensure accurate product costing.
- Multi-Plant Support: Manage financial reporting and analysis for multiple manufacturing facilities, ensuring consistency and compliance with corporate standards.
- Travel: Ability to travel to various plant locations throughout the year to support operational and financial initiatives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Strong understanding of manufacturing accounting principles, cost structures, and operational processes.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems (preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex manufacturing cost data and present actionable insights.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal).
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across all levels and departments.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting (required).
- CPA designation or enrollment in the CPA program (asset).
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in manufacturing accounting or plant finance (required).
