Full job description

The Server Assistant supports the front-of-house team by ensuring smooth service, maintaining cleanliness, assisting servers, and delivering an exceptional guest experience. This role is essential in helping the restaurant operate efficiently during service.

Key Responsibilities

Assist servers with food and beverage delivery to guests.
Set up and reset tables quickly and accurately.
Clear and clean tables during and after service.
Refill water glasses and assist with guest requests.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room, service stations, and washrooms.
Polish cutlery, glassware, and plates as required.
Assist with opening and closing duties.
Support the team during busy service periods.
Communicate effectively with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff.
Follow all food safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

Previous restaurant experience is an asset but not required.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
