We are currently seeking a Family Physician to join our healthcare community in the picturesque town of Vanderhoof, British Columbia. As a dedicated member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages. The position includes participation in emergency on-call rotations, contributing to the overall well-being of our community.

#350,000-450,000+

Recruitment Incentive: $20,000
Relocation Assistance: $9,000-15,000
Retention Premium: 21.14%
Retention Flat Fee: $32,760.96

St. John Hospital:

St. John Hospital is a 24 acute-care bed facility. The Hospital serves the communities of Vanderhoof and the Saik’uz First Nation, as well as acting as a referral centre for the surrounding communities of Burns Lake, Fort St. James and Fraser Lake.

The services of St John Hospital include:

24/7 Emergency department
2 outpatient bays
Dietician
Palliative Care
Oncology Clinic
Labour and delivery with Cesarean Section capabilities.
Diagnostic Imaging, including Ultrasound and Fluoroscopy
Lab including blood transfusion services
24/7 OR offering Orthopedic Day Surgery, Plastics, Dental, ENT, Endoscopy, and General Surgery
Inpatient Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy
Teaching facility for the University of Northern British Columbia

Community Services include:

Diabetic counseling
Cardiac Rehab
Dietitian
Occupational Therapy
Primary Care Nursing and Home Support
Mental Health and Substance Use
Outreach clinics to surrounding communities
