Marketing and Communications Coordinator

(TPASC) is seeking a full-time Marketing and Communications Coordinator to create engaging content, support marketing initiatives, and help deliver exceptional communications that connect our community, promote our programs and services, and strengthen the TPASC brand.
About the Role
The Marketing and Communications Coordinator is responsible for creating, editing, and distributing high-quality content that reflects Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre’s (TPASC’s) brand and values. This role manages updates across digital platforms, develops branded collateral, and supports campaigns that engage customers, partners, and staff. The coordinator is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and thrives in a fast-paced environment that blends creativity with precision.
Key Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of the Manager, Marketing and Communications, the duties and responsibilities of the coordinator include, but are not limited to, the following:
Content Creation and Management
- Write, edit, and proofread content for newsletters, website, social media, and corporate materials to support the delivery of the MarCom strategy.
- Plan and coordinate the distribution of all TPASC’s content, with a particular focus on the newsletter, eblasts, social media, promotional and printed material.
- Ensure the consistency of the brand, tone and messaging across all communication channels and supports, internally and externally.
- Manage updates to TPASC’s owned platforms and channels, including website, mobile app, on-site/live assets (e.g., digital screens, signage, etc.).
- Coordinate the collection, organization, and archiving of photos, videos, and branded assets for ease of access.
Campaign and Marketing Support
- Support rollout of marketing and promotional campaigns, including content adaptation, distribution, asset creation and collection, and quality control.
- Assist with the creation of branded content and digital/printed collateral.
- Develop and maintain a library of brand-consistent print and digital materials.
- Contribute to the maintenance and/or updates of all TPASC’s MarCom tools and platforms (e.g., SurveyMonkey, Canva, MagicInfo, Go High Level, etc.) to ensure efficiency and performance.
- Build and manage TPASC’s surveys to support public-facing and internal reports.
Reporting and Analytics
- Use survey results and campaign data to recommend improvements and support decision-making.
- Track and report on engagement metrics across digital platforms, including newsletters, website, mobile app, wayfinding and social media.
Team and Collaboration
- Assist with training and providing direction to interns to ensure timely and accurate delivery of assigned tasks.
- Collaborate with internal departments to source stories, updates, and opportunities for promotion.
- Uphold and apply TPASC brand standards consistently across all outputs.
Other
- Perform other duties as assigned, including live event coverage and/or event planning and delivery. (Note: This may include evenings and weekends, and public holidays to support events and TPASC initiatives.)
Qualifications and Experience:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing, or equivalent related experience.
- Minimum of three years of progressive experience in content development/management, marketing, communications, or digital marketing.
- Experience with social media management, CRM tools (e.g., Go High Level), and survey platforms (e.g., SurveyMonkey).
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Skilled with digital marketing principles (SEO, email marketing, analytics).
- Proficiency with content creation tools (including Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar).
- Photography, video and video-editing skills considered an asset.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative, adaptable, and resourceful.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- The successful candidate will be required to obtain a Police Vulnerable Sector Check and complete a comprehensive background screening process, which may include employment verification, educational verification, and professional reference checks.
