Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and motivated Subway Sandwich Artist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing fresh sandwiches, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and sanitized environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, strong time management skills, and a commitment to food safety standards. This position offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills in the food industry while delivering a positive experience to our customers.

Responsibilities

Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to Subway standards, ensuring quality and freshness
Greet customers warmly and assist with menu selections, upselling additional items when appropriate
Operate the Micros POS system for order processing and cash handling accurately
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, utensils, and food preparation areas in compliance with food safety regulations
Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy periods
Handle cash transactions accurately and provide correct change using basic math skills
Restock supplies as needed and ensure all ingredients are stored properly
Follow all food handling procedures and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment
Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues professionally

Qualifications

Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or food industry preferred but not required
Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Familiarity with food safety standards and sanitation practices
Kitchen or food preparation experience is advantageous
Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively during busy hours
Positive attitude with a team-oriented mindset
