Our crews work on slabs, sidewalks, driveways, structural pours, architectural concrete, and specialty concrete scopes throughout the region.

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Concrete Finisher, you will help finish concrete efficiently, safely, and to project requirements while working closely with foremen, placers, and the rest of the crew.
Responsibilities may include:
- Finishing concrete slabs, sidewalks, driveways, structural pours, and flatwork
- Performing hand finishing, edging, jointing, bull floating, and trowel work
- Operating walk-behind and/or ride-on trowels depending on experience
- Reading concrete conditions, set times, weather impacts, and finishing windows
- Supporting the crew during active pours to maintain quality, pace, and production
- Working around concrete pumps, trucks, chutes, hoses, screeds, and finishing equipment
- Helping guide placers and labourers to keep concrete placed to grade and ready for finishing
- Assisting with layout, grades, edges, joints, and finishing details where required
- Cleaning and maintaining tools, trowels, equipment, and work areas after pours
- Communicating with foremen, placers, pump operators, truck drivers, and other crew members
- Working safely around moving equipment, concrete trucks, pumps, power tools, and active job sites
- Following site safety rules, crew direction, and project requirements
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for dependable workers who understand the demands of concrete finishing and can contribute during active pours.
Required:
- Previous concrete finishing experience, operating walk behind, ride on and vibe screed equipment.
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to perform physical labour outdoors for full shifts
- Comfortable working around concrete trucks, pumps, equipment, and active construction sites
- Able to follow direction and work as part of a crew
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Safety-conscious mindset
- Pride in quality workmanship and finished product
Preferred but not required:
- Experience finishing slabs, sidewalks, driveways, structural pours, or commercial flatwork
- Experience with hand finishing, edging, jointing, bull floating, and trowel work
- Experience operating walk-behind or ride-on trowels
- Experience working around line pumps, boom pumps, or concrete trucks
- Basic understanding of grades, forms, slab edges, joint layout, and pour sequence
- Valid driver’s licence
- Reliable transportation
- Basic hand tool or power tool experience
- First Aid, WHMIS, CSTS, or other safety tickets
Wage
$32–$45/hr depending on experience
Workers with strong concrete finishing experience, machine experience, commercial slab experience, or the ability to help guide crews during pours may be considered at a higher starting wage.
Wages are reviewed based on reliability, finishing skill, production ability, quality of work, attitude, safety, and overall contribution to the crew.
