Join the Parkers Bodyshop TeamLooking for a workplace where your skills are appreciated, your production is rewarded, and you can still enjoy life outside of work?Parkers Bodyshop is hiring an experienced Automotive Body Technician to join our growing team in Penticton, BC.We are a family-owned dealership and ICBC-accredited collision repair facility with consistent work, a supportive team, and a strong focus on safe, high-quality repairs.Red Seal certification is preferred, but experienced technicians with strong repair skills are encouraged to apply.
What You’ll Do
- Complete structural and non-structural collision repairs
- Repair and replace damaged body panels and components
- Perform metal straightening, dent repair, welding, bonding, and panel alignment
- Follow OEM repair procedures and manufacturer specifications
- Disassemble vehicles and identify hidden or additional damage
- Review repair plans, estimates, and work orders
- Document required supplements and communicate with the estimating team
- Remove and reinstall doors, hoods, bumpers, lamps, trim, and interior components
- Complete windshield, back glass, quarter glass, and door glass replacement
- Perform qualifying windshield stone-chip repairs
- Prepare glass openings and apply approved primers, activators, and urethane adhesives
- Inspect pinchwelds, moldings, clips, weatherstrips, and surrounding structures
- Check completed glass installations for leaks, wind noise, fit, and proper operation
- Identify vehicles requiring ADAS camera calibration after windshield replacement
- Coordinate required scans, aiming, or calibration procedures
- Apply corrosion protection, cavity wax, seam sealer, and other required materials
- Complete quality-control checks before vehicles move to the next repair stage
- Work closely with our estimating, parts, paint, preparation, and production teams
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
What We’re Looking For
- Red Seal Automotive Collision Repair Technician certification is preferred
- Experienced non-Red-Seal technicians are encouraged to apply
- Professional collision repair or autobody experience
- Strong metal repair, panel replacement, and alignment skills
- Ability to follow OEM repair procedures
- Automotive glass replacement experience is preferred
- Windshield stone-chip repair experience is an asset
- Knowledge of modern vehicle construction and repair methods
- Understanding of ADAS requirements related to windshield replacement
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Reliable, organized, productive, and team-oriented
- Valid driver’s licence
- Ability to perform the physical duties of the position
