About the Role
This role is responsible for supporting and maintaining Cavalier Tool’s ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS). This role ensures compliance with ISO standards, customer requirements, and internal procedures while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
This role also supports Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) tracking and reporting and ensures effective document control practices are maintained across all quality-related documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System
- Coordinate internal ISO audits, including audit planning, documentation, execution support, and follow-up actions
- Assist with external ISO audits and certification activities
- Maintain and administer document control processes, including creation, review, approval, revision, distribution, and archival of controlled documents
- Ensure quality procedures, work instructions, and records are current, accurate, and compliant with ISO 9001 requirements
- Track, analyze, and report Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), including scrap, rework, returns, and non-conformance costs
- Support root cause analysis and corrective action activities related to COPQ reduction
- Track, document, and follow up on non-conformances, corrective actions, and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Compile quality metrics and COPQ data to support management review meetings
- Support customer quality requirements, documentation, and quality-related communications
- Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and leadership teams to support continuous improvement initiatives
- Promote ISO awareness, document discipline, and quality best practices across the organization
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field
- 6+ years of experience in a quality-related role within a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards, including document control and corrective action requirements
- Experience maintaining controlled documentation and quality records
- Experience tracking and reporting quality metrics and COPQ
- Strong understanding of root cause analysis and corrective action processes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Preferred Assets
- Hands-on experience supporting ISO 9001 certification audits
- Experience with COPQ analysis, reporting, and reduction initiatives
- Experience in tooling, manufacturing, or industrial environments
