Full job description

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor in a Hydroponic Facility to oversee daily warehouse operations and ensure efficient distribution processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of supply chain management, warehouse systems, and team management. The Warehouse Supervisor will play a key role in process improvement initiatives, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting continuous operational excellence within a fast-paced greenhouse production and distribution environment.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily warehouse activities including order picking, packing, shipping, and receiving to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment.
Ensuring proper rotation is followed (FIFO)
Manage warehouse staff, providing leadership, assist in training, and performance evaluations to foster a productive team environment.
Manage work schedules of warehouse employees
Oversee inventory control procedures, including cycle counts and stock reconciliation to maintain accuracy.
Coordinate with procurement and purchasing teams to manage stock levels and facilitate procurement processes.
Implement process improvements aimed at increasing efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing safety standards through continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain clear communication with internal teams and external partners regarding shipment schedules and inventory status.
Ensure labor and production lines are being scheduled efficiently (monitoring line speeds
Ensures compliance with all food safety and health and safety policies, practices and procedures.
Promote positive work environment
Problem solves and addresses staff challenges or concerns that may arise

Requirements

Proven experience supervising warehouse or distribution operations Greenhouse Production environments
Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively.
Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and continuous improvement methodologies.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Strong communication skills for effective team coordination
Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary; physical stamina required for warehouse environment tasks.

This job is physically demanding requiring the candidate to stand, walk and sit for long periods of time throughout their shift. Candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team and get along well with others. They must be able to read, write and communicate in English.

Candidate must have own transportation to and from work. Candidate must also be able to work Monday to Saturday. Hours will vary due to crop production and cycles.
