Eassons operates approximately 325 trucks and employs over 500 people. Eassons Transportation Group provides dry and temperature-controlled TL/LTL services across Canada and the United States.
Opportunity exists for an Accounting Clerk to work from our Kentville head office. This is a Monday- Friday 8am-5pm schedule.
CORE DUTIES:
- Process internal and external maintenance work and repair orders in the company’s fleet maintenance system
- Ensure that outside invoices pertaining to work and repair orders are accurately captured
- Review monthly vendor statements to ensure of the company’s accounts payables are properly maintained
- Support the Payables Supervisor with monthly VISA processing and tracking
- Maintain up to date vendor profiles
- Process complex payables allocations and manage various cost categories (cell phone, desk phone, etc.)
- Support the administration team in the month-end financial statement close process
Qualifications:
- College or university diploma / degree in accounting or business
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, etc.) Strong computer skills working with accounting software
- A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in an accounting position considered an asset
- Experience in trucking industry considered an asset

- High attention to detail while managing large volumes of transactions
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong work ethic and able to work with minimal supervision and direction
